Set inside the industrial-chic backdrop of The Pump House in Bala Cynwyd, Grant’s Bar Mitzvah was a bold, celebration that blended street art edge with elevated event design. From custom branding and metallic installations to vibrant lounges and a high-impact dance floor, every detail was thoughtfully designed by Philadelphia Event Decor to reflect Grant’s personality and create an unforgettable guest experience. This wasn’t just a party — it was a fully branded world built from the ground up (And we went up!).
The Venue: The Pump House, Bala Cynwyd
With its soaring ceilings, exposed beams, and urban architecture, The Pump House served as the perfect canvas for a graffiti-inspired, high-energy design. The industrial setting allowed us to lean into bold textures, dramatic lighting, and custom-built elevated DJ Booth, that transformed the venue into a modern street-art experience layered with luxury finishes.
The First Impression: Custom Branding & Statement Moments
Guests were immediately immersed in Grant’s world through personalized visuals and oversized design moments. A custom graffiti-style logo featuring Grant’s name anchored the experience and appeared throughout the event — from digital screens and signage to the dance floor, Photo Booth and bar fronts. Oversized chrome chains framed the Entrance area, adding sculptural impact and reinforcing the edgy, urban aesthetic. These metallic moments created instant photo ops while setting the tone for what guests could expect inside.
The Dance Floor & Stage: A Full Production Experience
At the heart of the room was a show-stopping custom DJ Booth stacked on top of a Photo Booth, along with a dance floor designed to feel like a live performance venue. A truss structure layered with LED lighting, video screens, and custom scenic panels created a powerful visual anchor. Graffiti-style backdrops, vibrant graphics, and dramatic lighting effects transformed the space where Grant truly became the star of the show.
The glossy custom dance floor, featuring Grant’s logo front and center, reflected the lighting throughout the night and amplified the energy as the party unfolded.
Lounge Design: Bold Color Meets Elevated Comfort
Lounge areas were designed to balance the high-energy environment with stylish comfort. Plush red velvet sofas anchored each seating vignette, layered with custom branded pillows, metallic accent tables, and colorful floral arrangements. These lounges weren’t just functional — they were fully styled design moments that carried the graffiti aesthetic into every corner of the room while giving guests beautiful spaces to gather between dancing.
Custom Bar & Interactive Moments
The bar design continued the immersive branding with a graffiti-style bar front featuring bold typography and color. Layered candlelight, and sculptural floral accents elevated the space beyond a standard beverage station into a true design feature. Every element — from the signage to the layout — was intentional, cohesive, and custom to Grant’s event.
