Sloane’s Bat Mitzvah at The Inn at Villanova University was a bold blend of modern glamour, high-energy production, and fashion-inspired design. Designed by Philadelphia Event Decor, the celebration featured dramatic lighting, reflective metallic textures, custom branding, and sleek black-and-white styling layered with soft blush and lavender accents. From the glowing dance floor and oversized chrome installations to the editorial-inspired lounge spaces and statement signage, every detail was created to feel stylish, elevated, and completely personalized to Sloane.

The Venue: The Inn at Villanova University

The Inn at Villanova provided the perfect clean, modern backdrop for this high-impact transformation. Its contemporary architecture and expansive ballroom layout allowed the production and design elements to completely redefine the space. Black draping, cool-toned uplighting, and layered metallic textures turned the venue into a sophisticated lounge-inspired environment filled with movement, glow, and dramatic contrast.

The First Impression: Custom Branding & Statement Moments

Guests stepped directly into Sloane’s world through oversized branded installations and immersive statement moments. A dramatic black-and-white “Love, Sloane” photo experience wrapped in reflective metallic textures created an editorial-style entrance that instantly set the tone for the evening.

Custom branding continued throughout the event with oversized “Always Iconic” signage suspended above guest seating, personalized pillows throughout the lounge areas, custom LED screen graphics, and sleek modern typography layered into every design detail. The event felt cohesive from every angle while still maintaining a playful, youthful energy.

The Dance Floor & Stage: Modern, Sleek & High-Energy

At the center of the ballroom was a glowing custom stage and dance floor installation framed by oversized chrome orb elements and dramatic lighting production. The illuminated stage platforms and high-resolution LED screen created a bold visual anchor while reflective metallic spheres floating throughout the room added movement and dimension.

The black-and-white dance floor kept the design clean and modern while allowing the surrounding lighting and production effects to shine. Combined with layered pink and violet uplighting, the dance floor became the heart of the celebration and created a true nightlife-inspired atmosphere for guests throughout the evening.

Tablescapes & Floral Design: Soft Glam with Modern Edge

The tablescape design balanced the dramatic production elements with softer, elevated floral moments. Long and round guest tables featured shimmering textured linens layered with candlelight, clear acrylic seating, sleek black vessels, and delicate floral arrangements in white, blush, and soft lavender tones.

Calla lilies, orchids, anemones, and airy florals created an elegant contrast against the darker lounge and production elements while keeping the overall design fresh, modern, and refined. Reflective chrome accents and glowing candlelight added warmth and depth throughout the ballroom.

Lounge Design & Interactive Spaces

Custom lounge areas created stylish gathering spaces throughout the event while continuing the modern monochromatic aesthetic. Black lounge seating paired with reflective chrome accessories, custom pillows, shimmering fringe installations, and metallic floral accents gave the space a chic social-club feel.

The layered textures — from holographic fringe chandeliers to mirrored décor moments — brought movement and visual energy into every corner of the room while maintaining a polished, cohesive design story.

Bar Design & Elevated Details

The custom mirrored bar installation became another major focal point of the celebration. Reflective geometric paneling, glowing white bar accents, sleek back bar shelving, and elevated floral styling transformed the beverage station into a true design feature rather than simply a functional element.
